Resumes & Letters

This is the action-packed section of your job search process.

Your job search must start with a great résumé and cover letter if it's going to end with a great job!

To successfully handle your job search, get organized and keep a log of where your resume has been sent. Also follow up on what the status is for each job or internship prospect.

In a fair and reasonable world, you would be able to disclose your disability openly in your resume, cover letter and during the interview. However, we all know there is discrimination in the job market, so make an informed decision after weighing your options well. If you wish to reveal your disability, then phrase it with proactive words. Emphasize your adaptability, flexibility, and talents in the light of your disability.

Relax, and take a deep breath, because this whole process can be simplified by reviewing the information in this section along with the Career Center's resume tips.
